A private AI you own.

A small device that fits in your hand. You speak to it, and it answers. It is not connected to any company, and it costs nothing per month.

Aetherseed Companion i valnøtt og grønt aluminium

Aetherseed Companion in walnut. Built in Norway.

Tell me when it is ready

You own it. It is not rented to you.

Most digital services are rented. You pay every month, and if you stop paying, the service disappears. Prices change, models are swapped, services shut down. And everything you have told it sits on someone else's servers.

Bought once

No monthly fee and no renewal. The device is yours after purchase.

Cannot be switched off remotely

It does not stop working because a company changes its pricing, swaps the model, or closes the service.

Works without internet

It needs power, not coverage. Cabin, car, boat, basement.

Data does not leave the device

Not because a privacy policy says so, but because there is no connection out.

You buy it once. It stays where you left it. No one can switch it off.

Three steps.

1

You speak to it

You say what you need, in your own words. You can start right away.

2

It answers

It computes inside the device itself. Not on a server in another country.

3

It stops there

What you say stays. Nothing is sent onward.

One device. Change what it knows.

You do not buy twelve devices. You buy one, and load it with the field you need. A knowledge module is a bounded domain built on verified sources — it decides what the assistant can answer and do. Change the module, and the same device becomes something else. Twelve fields are planned.

Wonder Teacher — education — is first. The rest are developed in parallel and validated one field at a time. Some will turn out to need a different approach than we expect today. Then we change the approach, not the ambition.

What separates it from an ordinary small AI model?

A small language model on its own is unreliable: it guesses when it lacks knowledge. Aetherseed puts four layers around the model — bounded domain knowledge, a behavioural protocol, a memory, and tool control. The practical difference:

Raw small language model
Aetherseed system
Attempts to answer from model weights
Searches the bounded knowledge module first
May improvise when knowledge is missing
Mustardseed steers toward acknowledging the gap
Little or no persistent context
AetherRoot retrieves relevant history
Blends unrelated domains
The knowledge module sets limits on knowledge and action
May choose the wrong tool or action
AetherSpark limits tools by earned trust and mandate
Returns one generated text
Returns a system result from model, memory, sources, and control layer

Mustardseed, AetherRoot, and AetherSpark run today on a Raspberry Pi 5 with a Hailo-10H accelerator.

From workshop to hand.

Aetherseed AS is a Norwegian limited company, founded in May 2026. The device exists. It is built in three finishes, and the software runs on it today.

Now it goes out to people. First pilot units with real users, the enclosure being finished, and certification for the European market next. It is not on sale yet — but it is built, and it works.

Behind Aetherseed.

Aetherseed AS develops and owns the technology, and is bound by its own declaration on responsible development.
